Saturday, July 10th
6:45am Meet at Columbia Int’l Airport
8:45 Flight US Airways 2759 departs for Charlotte (arrives 9:32am)
All team members wear team T-shirt color Yellow .
shorts ok.
12:30pm US Airways Flight 31 departs Charlotte to LA (arrives 2:45 pm)
6:00 pm Hawaiian Airlines Flt # 9 departs LA to Honolulu (arrives 8:35pm)
Upon arrival in Honolulu to be greeted by Samoan hosting church;
Travel to Ohana Surf Hotel Waikiki (two overnights); check in with
your roommates; Get a good night’s rest.
Sunday, July 11th
8:00am Breakfast on your own; they usually have BIG pastries at the church
8:30am Team ready for pick up to Samoan Area churches for services. Church clothes.
9:30am Church service; Pastor Jeff to preach. Lunch hosted by church after service.
Will return to hotel after lunch. Get some rest!
5:00pm Team ready for pick up for evening service; church clothes.
If you are going to preach, men wear shirt & Tie. Light meal served
after service. Return to hotel after meal. Get a good night’s rest!
Monday, July 12th
7:00am Breakfast on your own; Dress for flight; shorts OK; wear Team T-shirt
color Green
8:00am Devotions & announcements; Devotion will be shared by Pastor Pele.
9:00 – 11am Walk around Waikiki/Alamoana Shopping Center; Please don’t go by
yourself. Please let Pastor Pele or Eva know where you are.
11am-12noon Check out of hotel; pay your bill.
1:00pm Team starts heading for airport.
4:45pm Hawaiian Airlines Flt #465 departs Honolulu for Pago (arrives 9:10pm)
9:10pm Upon arrival in Pago Pago, American Samoa will be greeted by AS Task
Force members; will travel to Mission House; Light snacks served.
Women (traveling alone) will be housed together. Men (traveling
alone) will be housed together. Couples will stay together. We will be
hosted by Jehovah Shalom Church, Pastor Asaua and his wife Fia.
Please get a good night’s rest, as we will be flying again tomorrow
to the other island, Western Samoa. (approx. 30 minute flight)
Tuesday, July 13th
8:00am Team devotions led by Pastor Jeff Kersey
Breakfast served by hosts. We will be traveling to Western Samoa in
3 groups. Times will be announced. Wear Team t-shirt color Yellow.
shorts OK; don’ t forget to spray with insect repellent.
Don’t buy souvenirs in AS, much cheaper in Western Samoa.
Upon arrival in Western Samoa, depending on the time, we will go to the bank
and exchange US dollars to Samoan Tala which is about 3 Tala per dollar.
If you have Travelers Checks, you will get a better rate. Exchange is also
available at the hotel front desk but you do not get the best rate there. Get
enough tala for the meals that you will be eating at the hotel restaurant, for
shopping, to pay for your lodging in Savaii. You might need Tala for extra water,
etc in Savaii. Western Samoa is the best place to buy souvenirs being that you
are getting more for your dollar & more variety. We might have time to go to the
market place downtown. We will have to make those decisions as we go along.
Good time to wash some clothes (get washing machine tokens at front desk) or
get a swim in the nice pool at the hotel. There is internet use available on a first
come first serve basis. There is a charge for this service. Please pay as you go
along; don’t charge it to your room if you are rooming with someone else.
6:00pm Meet in front lobby for travel to dinner to be hosted by Samoa Task Force –
Men of Promise; Dress casual – no shorts, no tank tops.
7:00pm Dinner at Apia Protestant Church Hall; Pastor Nu’u and wife Malu
9:00pm Depart for Hotel; get good nights rest as we will be traveling by ferry
tomorrow. It will be a long day!
Wednesday, July 14th
Pack for 3 days; Good idea to pack some snacks, too. Bring luggage that you are not taking to Savaii to Pastor Pele’s room.
It will be stored there until we return from Savai’i. Clear your rooms; don’t pay at this time.
Upon return from Savai’i, we will again stay at the Insel and you can pay for all the nights at check-out. Wear teamT-shirt color Green. Shorts ok; insect repellent; Bottled water.
7:00am Breakfast on your own; Hotel Restaurant has a good breakfast for about 12
Tala = about $4 US
8:00am Team Devotions to be led by Dick Ogden
10:00am Depart hotel for Mulifanua (about 1 hr bus ride).
12 noon ferry departs for Savai’i. (about 1 hr ferry ride)
1:00pm Ferry arrives in Savai’i; Accommodations at Jetover Hotel. Lunch plans to be
announced; Tour Island of Savai’i
6:00pm Team meeting
7:00pm Dinner plans to be announced.
Thursday, July 15th
6:00am Breakfast on your own at Jetover
Team devotions to be led by Stephen Cromer.
7:00am Leave for Letui Medical Mission (1st medical mission)
Team will wear lava-lava given by Task Force with a T-shirt; wear
shorts underneath lava-lava; Lunch to be hosted by village; we will have lunch
breaks on a rotating basis. Please drink plenty of bottled water throughout the
day. We will provide water for the team but you might want to buy some
extra for yourself in case we run out.
5:00pm Medical Mission ends; travel to Jetover; Dinner provided at Village.
Friday, July 16th
6:00am Breakfast on your own at Jetover
Team devotions to be led by Lynn Kersey .
7:00am Leave for Medical Mission at Lalomalava; lunch rotating basis.
5:00pm Medical Mission ends
7:00pm Evening rally at Lalomalava; dinner hosted by church.
Saturday, July 17th
7:00am Breakfast on your own at Jetover
Team devotions led by Arnold Blackwell.
Check out and pay your bill.
9:00am Depart hotel for wharf.
10:00am Ferry leaves Salelologa Wharf.
11:30am Ferry arrives at Mulifanua in Samoa; Travel to Lefaga for picnic
hosted by Samoa Task Force; This is a beautiful beach; great for
swimming and relaxing(if your swimming, make sure you can access your
swim suit.
5:00pm Leave Lefaga beach for Insel hotel (about 1 hr ride; Re-check in).
Sunday, July 18th
7:00am Breakfast on your own
8:00am Team devotions led by Scott Szalwinski
9:00am Meet in front lobby for transport to churches; All pastors will preach
Those who preach wear shirt, tie & jacket. Wear church clothes;
sleeveless tops ok for ladies. You will have lunch with your host
church; the rest of the group goes to Apia Protestant Church;
lunch hosted by APC. We will be transported back to Insel after lunch.
6:00 pm Meet in front lobby for transport to evening service.
7:00pm Combined service at Peace Chapel; Wear church clothes;
Meal provided after service
Monday, July 19th
7:00am Breakfast on your own
7:30am Team devotions led by Dr Tim Votion .
8:30am Depart for mission at Vailu'utai EFKS
Lunch hosted by church; rotating basis.
5:00pm Mission ends; transport back to Insel.
Dinner on your own. Great food at hotel restaurant; Good time for a swim at
hotel pool or wash clothes or just get some rest. Tomorrow will be another
long day.
Tuesday, July 20th
7:00am Breakfast on your own
7:30am Team devotions led by Ralph Crafton
8:00am Depart for Mission at Vaitele Uta Nazarene Church
9:00am Mission starts; lunch on a rotating basis.
5:00pm Mission ends

Wednesday, July 21st
7:00am Breakfast on your own
8:00am Pack your belongings; get ready to check out and for your flight back
to Pago Pago.
We will be leaving Apia in 3 groups; verify your departing time from hotel and your
flight time so you can be ready. Depending on your flight time, we might be ableto do some shopping today in Apia. Upon arrival in Pago, we will be transported
again to the mission house. They will have snacks available.
7:00pm Evening service at Jehovah Shalom AG. Pastor Asaua
Be ready to share a testimony; Evening meal after service.
Thursday, July 22nd
7:00am Breakfast provided by hosts.
8:00am Team Devotions led by Pastor Mel Bradford.
9:00am Medical mission at Jehovah Shalom Hall. Lunch provided by hosts.
7:00pm Men of Promise Rally at Jehovah Shalom Church.

We say goodbye to our Ohio, Kentucky, Texas, and New Jersey
teammates. They continue to their destinations. We continue
to South Carolina.
7:45am US Airways Flight #192 departs LA for Charlotte
3:18pm Flight #192 arrives in Charlotte
4:55pm US Airways flight #4297 departs Charlotte to Columbia and
arrives at 5:38pm. Praise the Lord! To God be the Glory!
"And if you spend yourselves in behalf of the hungry
